Funeral services for Dorthey Booth Hogg will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00a.m. at West Lake Baptist Church, Doyline, Louisiana, with Bro. Mike Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Point Chapel cemetery in Doyline, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024 at Rose Neath funeral home in Minden, Louisiana.
Dorthey was born July 19, 1934 in Sarepta, Louisiana, and went home to be with the Lord and reunited in Heaven with her husband January 20, 2024 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Dorthey and Marvin (Lee) celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary September 1, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Lee Hogg, her parents Billy and Vivian Booth. Her two sisters, Mabel Osborne, and Bobbie Addy. She is survived by her son Tony Hogg and wife Gwenetta (Houston, Texas). Daughter Sonya Machen and husband Wess (Doyline, Louisiana). Son Bruce Hogg and wife Tina (Houston, Texas). Grandchildren; Natalie Coe, Eric Hogg and wife Michelle, Lauren Hogg, Kelsee Packman, Courtney Ferguson and husband Josh, and Haley Machen. 5 great grandchildren; Sunni Ferguson, Phineas Hogg, Alaina Packman, Wyatt Ferguson, Allie Packman. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
