The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a $5.7 million project to replace rural six bridges in Red River Parish and Bienville Parishes, including along LA 507, LA 514 and one locally-owned route as well.
The project is slated to begin on Monday, October 21, 2024 with the closure of the Minden Road bridge over Stanley Creek south of Womack, which is a parish-owned bridge located approximately 0.7 miles east of LA 507. (see included map)
The closure is anticipated to last approximately 8 months, and is necessary to allow for the full removal and replacement of the structure.
Additional information about the replacement of the other bridges included in the project will be issued as the project progresses.
The entire project – replacement of all six structures – is anticipated to be complete in Spring 2028, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
