Doyline High School celebrates Homecoming 2024 with parade, game, and dance

The Doyline High School community came together to celebrate Homecoming 2024 with a series of events from February 15 to 17, culminating in the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and the announcement of the court.

The festivities began on February 15 with a parade and community pep rally held in the school gymnasium. The excitement continued on February 16 with an alumni reception followed by the homecoming game against Georgetown, which Doyline High School won 86-46. Halftime was marked by court and alumni announcements, adding to the festive spirit.

The celebration concluded on February 17 with the homecoming dance, where students enjoyed a night of music and dancing.

The highlight of the homecoming events was the crowning of the Homecoming Queen, Kylie Sumlin, who was escorted by Shane Griffith. Joining her on the court were:

Senior Maids:

Audrey Bennett- escorted by her dad, Josh Bennett.

Nadia Lara- escorted by Sgt. Rouse from the United States Marine Corp

Junior Maids:

Peyton Handy, escorted by her father, David Handy.

Savannah Stanley, escorted by her brother, Bryce Taylor.

Sophomore Maids:

Arianna Crump, escorted by John Innocenio.

ShaDavion Martin, escorted by her brother, Jatavion Jackson.

Freshman Maids:

Lanie Gates, escorted by her father, John Gates.

Audrey Gibbons, escorted by her grandfather, Tommy Hayes.

Basketball Sweetheart:

Izayla Harris, escorted by a family friend, Oderrion Harris.

Baseball Sweetheart:

Keily Sumlin, escorted by a family friend, Ben Bagley.

The Homecoming Court represented the diversity and spirit of Doyline High School, showcasing the talent and dedication of its students. Congratulations to all participants on a memorable homecoming celebration!
