A Minden man racked up additional charges other than the three distribution warrants served by the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Eric Gene Wyrick, 37, of the 100 block of Timothy Lane, was arrested on warrants for three counts of distribution of a Schedule II CDS (methamphetamine). In addition, Wyrick was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, possession of Schedule I CDS (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

When Deputies Joel Thomas and Bobby Igo III and Louisiana State Trooper Phillip Krouse arrived at the Timothy Lane residence, Wyrick was placed into custody on the warrants. Wyrick reportedly admitted he had a pistol in a safe in his bedroom. Deputies seized the firearm and discovered multiple baggies of suspected marijuana inside the safe as well.

A search of the bedroom revealed what appeared to be multiple glass pipes commonly used for smoking methamphetamine.

A check on the pistol revealed the weapon was listed as stolen through the Minden Police Department, according to the police report.

Deputies say during questioning, Wyrick admitted to possession of the firearm and the weapon.
He was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for booking.
