Minden Police arrested Samantha S. Anderson, 30, of the 1100 block of Harvey’s Barbershop Road in Dubberly on the theft charge and possession of prescription drugs.

Police Chief Steve Cropper said the assistant manager of the store called police around 7 p.m., Wednesday, when she saw Anderson on the videotape conceal items in her purse.

“We located the stolen merchandise in her purse,” he said, “and we also located an orange, unmarked pill bottle with no label on it.”

The two types of pills inside the bottle were identified as suboxone and Lyrica, he said.

During the preliminary investigation, officers learned she also had an outstanding warrant through the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.

She was transported to police headquarters, booked and transferred to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
