Eddie “Dosey” Jones, 88, of Shreveport, is a former resident of Sibley.
His deceased parents are the late Eli Jones and Freelove Johnson Jones of Sibley.
He left to cherish his memory, Mary Helen Smith of Sibley; a special niece, Mae Frances J. Holmes of Shreveport; sisters-in-law, Nadine Jones and Louvern R. Jones, both of Barstow, Calif.; and a multiplicity of nieces, nephews and special cousins.
A viewing will be held from 2 until 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home, 1339 Jewel Street, Shreveport. Family Hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 241 S.E. Claiborne Avenue, Sibley.
Funeral services will be held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, preceded by a viewing from 10 until 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery in Minden and a repast held at Sibley Civic Center.
