Elbert Brooks Jr., AKA Brooks, 54, of Minden, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at his place of residence. Brooks was well known for his good welding skills at Pittman’s Metal Works in Dixie Inn. He is survived by his mother, Ethel Brooks; four sons, five daughters, eight brothers and seven sisters. Family hour is from 6 until 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at Benevolent Funeral Home, located at 401 E. Union Street in Minden. Funeral services for Elbert Brooks Jr. will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at the Northwest 14th District Building, located at 123 Bailey Street in Minden. He will truly be missed!
