Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Green Taylor will be held Saturday, April 13th at 12:00 P.M. at the 14th District Building with Rev. Devertis Lard, officiating.
Elizabeth Green Taylor was born March 13, 1942 to the late Ardeffia Price Green and Benjamin Green. She united in holy matrimony to Benny Charles Taylor in 1954. This loving couple reared one child, Barbara Taylor McClendon.
Elizabeth was employed by Memorial Southwest in Houston, Texas as supervisor of housekeeping until her retirement. Upon returning to Minden, Louisiana she was employed at Truckers paradise and Murrell’s Diner as lead cook.
She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 2nd. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Otis Green, Lent T. Green, Rogers Green, and Bennie Green; one sister, Louise Green Harper; and one great-granddaughter, Tai’ Sheonna Kennedy.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving daughter, Barbara Taylor McClendon of Minden, La; six grandchildren: Dontreal Taylor (Sonya) of Houston, Tx; Tavarus Taylor (Nijana), Kendric Taylor (Alicia), Rendric McClendon (LaGladys), Kordarus McClendon (Mequilla), and Robert Reed, all of Minden, La; one brother, Jessie Green (Lacey) of Minden, La; one sister-in-law, Vera Frazier Green of Shreveport, La; two special nephews, Eric Walker of Huston, Tx and Otis Grider of Minden, LA; and a host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 12th in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
