Funeral services celebrating the life of Emma Lou Whaley will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Neath Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Richard Methvin officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana.
Emma Lou was born October 20, 1933, in Columbia County, Arkansas and went to be with her Savior February 25, 2024, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Emma Lou was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Nora Talley, husband Joe Whaley, granddaughter, Denise Whaley, sisters, Zinna Dailey, Reuna Christian, and Alice Sullivan, and brother Thomas Earl Talley.
She is survived by her son Toby Whaley and wife Susan, daughter, Cindy Maranto and husband Donnie, grandchildren, Lori Whaley Stratton (Craig), Rachel Sitter (Shane), and Stacy Manor (Shawn), and great-grandchildren, Karli Sitter, Riley Sitter, James Stratton, Chase Manor, and Sydney Manor.
Pallbearers will be Shane Sitter, Craig Stratton, James Stratton, Shawn Manor, Chase Manor, and Riley Sitter.
