Ethel Marilyn Greer Dwire, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2016. She was born on Aug. 15, 1935, in Minden.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bertha Greer of Minden; husband, Herbert Dwire of Orange, Texas; and sisters, Pasty Greer Dennis of Ruston; and Anita Jo Greer of Galveston, Texas.
She is survived by her four children, Lisa Dwire and Barry Carlisle of Edgewood, Texas; Lynn Dwire and Bruce Smith of Mauriceville, Texas; Cheree Dwire Neil and Mike Hales of Fort Worth, Texas; and John and Marcia Dwire of Orangefield; grandchildren, Jamie and Hayley Carlisle, Rusty and Casey Smith, and Jack Neil; and her nieces and nephews with whom she was a great favorite. We, the family, feel that we were blessed to call her our own and she will be greatly missed.
Miss Marilyn, as she was affectionately known, will be laid to rest at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden. In accordance with her wish to not be fussed over, the graveside service will be family only.
