Families of Courage host potluck dinner with Christmas play

by Amber McDown

Families of Courage held a potluck dinner at the Civic Center on the evening of August 22, featuring a Christmas play titled A Christmas Yarn. The event drew a large crowd as the youth took the stage, delivering an outstanding performance.

The play centers around Sam Ebenezer, the founder of the world’s leading supplier of ugly Christmas sweaters, and his team at U.G.L.Y. As they work to fulfill a large order due the day before Christmas, they encounter a series of challenges. With the help of three mysterious visitors, Sam and his team navigate these obstacles and discover the true beauty of Christmas.

Families and community members enjoyed the creative storyline and the message of the play, celebrating the talents of the young performers.
