Finlay takes Dixie Inn alderman seat

DIXIE INN — Republican “Nell” Finlay beat out Republican Connie Woods for the Dixie Inn aldermen seat.

Finley brought in 21 votes or 60 percent to Woods’ 14 votes or 40 percent, according to complete but unofficial results.

The two headed to a runoff after both receiving 38 votes in the Nov. 7 primary.

Finlay joins Donna Hoffoss and Judy McKenzie on the Dixie Inn council.
