A special session of the Minden City Council called for Monday, November 17, to consider possible disciplinary action against firefighter Michael Tyler Mandino concluded with no action taken after city officials reported the issue had been resolved.
The council had been scheduled to review Fire Chief Brian Williams’ recommendation following an October 23 pre-disciplinary hearing related to conduct that occurred on or about August 23.
“This item, over the weekend, has resolved itself, and so there is no need for us to take any action,” said Mayor Nick Cox.
Under the posted agenda, the council had the option to move into executive session under Louisiana’s Open Meetings Law, but the resolution of the matter made further consideration unnecessary.
