English Elise Foster and Scott Edward Runyan were united in the covenant of marriage on Friday, June 12, 2015. The double ring ceremony was held at Clark Gardens in Weatherford, Texas at 7 o’clock in the evening. The Rev. Jay Gage officiated. Music was provided by cellist and violinist of Serenata Strings. A solo was also performed by Wilson Bell with accompaniment by Sondra Bell, both cousins of the bride.

English is the daughter of Bonnie and Ronald Foster of Edmond, Oklahoma. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gladys McGee of Minden and the late Mr. Robert P. McGee, Jr. of Natchez, Mississippi as well as Mrs. Ollie C. Foster and the late Mr. Clovis Foster both of Shreveport. English is the great-granddaughter of the late Mrs. Fannie Parker and Mr. Charlie Parker of Minden.
Scott is the son of Dana and Edward Runyan of Midland, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Runyan and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Josting, all of Midland, Texas. Scott is the great-grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James R. (Ella Mae and Jimmy) Smith of Minden.
The bride wore a handmade portrait neckline, sheath dress created of scalloped eyelash Alencon lace adorned with crystal beads, sequins and pearls. The dress was enhanced with a detachable tulle overskirt with a signature organza bow. She carried a white bouquet of tulips, calla lilies and roses edged with flowing green amaranthus.
Cousins of the bride, Denisha Foster and Rachel Poole served as bridesmaids. Also serving as bridesmaids were the bride’s friends – Lauren Fredman, Charlotte Long, Katharine Milburn and Mary Beth Shenk. Elise Oliver, cousin of the bride was the flower girl.
Steven Runyan, the groom’s brother served as best man. Groomsmen included Ronald Edward Foster, brother of the bride, as well as friends of the groom Austin Jones, Samuel Sirgo, Brian Spikes and Canyon Van Cleave. Graeme Runyan, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Hostesses were Allie McGee, cousin of the bride, as well as Amanda Stockard and Julia Stockard, cousins of the groom. Ryan Kidwell and Randy Kidwell, the groom’s cousins served as ushers. Also serving as ushers were Paul McGee, cousin of the bride and friend of the groom Blake Sellars. Danielle Runyan, sister-in-law of the groom, and Alexis Smith, cousin of the bride, were scripture readers.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a Mexican fiesta dinner in honor of the couple. The dinner was held at the mansion at Chandor Gardens in Weatherford, Texas. Immediately following the wedding ceremony a reception of dining and dancing was held on the grounds of Clark Gardens.
After a two week honeymoon along the California coast, the couple returned to their home in Fort Worth, Texas where they are both employed by the Fort Worth Independent School District.
