The Lady Tiders are Co-District 1-4A champions after defeating Huntington 62-52 on Friday night in Minden.
The Tiders jumped out to a 37-20 lead at half time. Minden used the fourth quarter to get players in the game who don’t usually play such crucial minutes, as it was senior night. The Lady Raiders made a comeback effort in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough and Minden held on to win.
The Lady Tiders share the District 1-4A title with Benton.
Derrica Gilbert led Minden (29-3, 13-1) with 14 points. Janiya Reed and Bre Rodgers each had 13, and Tayler Banks had 11.
Minden will play in the first round of the 4-A state playoffs on Feb. 14. The time and opponent will be announced this weekend.
