Gene Patrick Hughes, 75 of Minden was born on February 7, 1950, in Victoria, Texas to Billie M. Hughes and Mildred Walker Hughes. He left this earth for his heavenly home on August 24, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a technician for AT&T and retired after over 30 years of service.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife Brenda, sisters, Rachel Malcolm, Virginia Hughes, and parents Billie and Mildred Hughes.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Hughes and Dana Hughes Hudson and husband Chad, grandchildren Kyle and Kaylee Hudson, sister Lynn Norman and brother Bill Hughes, Jr.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Gene will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the City On A Hill Pentecostal Church in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Andy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
