FARMERVILLE – The Glenbrook Apaches conitnue their hot streak through district 6AA, their latest victim being Union Christian Academy.
The Apaches swept a doubleheader from the Lions on Thursday, defeating UCA 16-5 in game one and 16-1 in game two. The pair of convincing wins increase Glenbrook’s record to 8-5 overall and 5-0 in district play.
In game one, Glenbrook collected 16 hits and 16 runs to power past UCA. Trevor McLean had a big day for the Apaches, going 4-5 with three singles, a double and four RBIs at the plate. Junior Mason Hood went 3-5 with three singles and added two RBIs.
Glenbrook trailed in the game 5-4 until the sixth inning when the Apache lineup got blistering hot.
Senior Colt Wilson finished 2-5 with a double, single and four RBIs, followed by Hayden Williams who went 2-5 with a single, double and one RBI. Cade Clemons had a multi-hit game, finishing 2-5 with a pair of singles to go with one RBI. Parker Christy added a single and two RBIs, while Nick Mourad (one RBI) and Tyler Perryman each had singles.
Wilson was able to control the the Lions lineup most of the day for the Apaches. His final statline showed five innings pitched, five strikeouts and three hits. Williams closed out the final fram for the Apaches, striking out two batters in one inning of work.

The Apaches kept their perfect district record alive with a blowout in game two of the doubleheader with the Lions, winning 16-1 behind another stellar day at the plate and a no-hitter from Glenbrook’s Nick Mourad.
Mourad’s big day on the hill ended with four strikeouts and only one walk in going the distance.
Several Apaches came up with clutch hits in the second contest, led by Seth Gauthier and Trevor McClean, each with a double, two singles and three RBIs to their name in the game. Tyler Perryman went 2-3 for Glenbrook with a pair of doubles and one RBI.
Hayden Williams, Mason Hood and Mourad each had doubles, with Mourad adding two RBIs and Hood and Williams each adding one RBI. Parker Christy and Cameron Barnette each added singles and a RBI for the Apaches.
Glenbrook takes their perfect district mark to Tallulah Monday for a 6 p.m. showdown.
