Grant provides Minden Police with new ballistic vests

A grant from Claiborne Electric’s Operation Round Up program will help equip Minden Police Department patrol officers with upgraded protective gear.

The funding will allow the department to purchase 10 new ballistic vests, replacing outdated and expired equipment to enhance officer safety while on duty.

“Ballistic vests have saved countless lives over the past 30 years, and this grant plays a crucial role in keeping our officers safe on the job. We are incredibly grateful for this support!” said Chief Jared McIver.
