Henry Griffith paperHenry Ray Griffith, 65, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014. Henry was born Dec. 5, 1948, and was a lifelong resident of Doyline.

He retired from General Electric Company and served in the National Guard. He was an avid hunter and gardener that produced the best vegetables, fruits and peas. Henry enjoyed baking, canning and cooking, as well as hosting family barbeques. Family loved him very much and was with him upon his passing. Henry will remain forever in the hearts of both family and friends.

Wife, Mae Griffith and stepson, Miko Figueroa survive him. Other survivors include sister, Mary Cox; brother, Richard Griffith and wife, Rose; aunt, Billie Beatty; and children, Connie and Bill; nephews, Steven Cox, Jimmy Cox and Ricky Griffith and wife, Amanda; stepdaughter, Rachel Jarrett and children; grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. His parents, Kathleen and Henry F. Griffith preceded Henry in death.

The wake will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden from 5 until 8 p.m., Nov. 10, 2014, with memorial services at West Lake Baptist Church in Doyline at 2 p.m., Tuesday Nov. 11, 2014, with Bro. Gerald Palmer and Bro. Lee Nunley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Richard Griffith, Steven Griffith, Michael Griffith, Mark Griffith, Douglas Fuller and Randy Shelley.
