Senior Jessica Hernandez, left, won the 2015 Lakeside Scholars Competition Monday while Senior Lacie James, right, came in second. The scholars competition has been a tradition at Sibley/Lakeside for more than three decades. Students answered questions in a variety of subjects including algebra, geometry, literature, chemistry, adult responsibilities, fine arts and more. The competition lasted more than five hours and went through seven rounds before a winner was crowned. The event is a high school-wide competition. More than 100 students competed Monday.
