High school baseball: Glenbrook gets win in Stanley tournament

The Glenbrook Apaches defeated Hicks 3-2 in the Stanley tournament Thursday.

Glenbrook scored three runs in the top of the second inning. Hicks scored one in the sixth. The Pirates got within one in the bottom of the seventh with two outs. But Darron Hollingsworth got a strikeout to end the game.

Six Apaches combined for six hits. Ryan Reagan had two RBI. Ryder Malone drew two walks.

Starter Noah Martin allowed two hits, struck out eight and walked three in 4 2/3 innings. Hollingsworth didn’t allow a hit in 2 1/3 innings. 

Glenbrook improved to 11-9. Hicks dropped to 9-3.
