The Glenbrook Apaches won two games in the Red River tournament Friday, defeating St. Mary’s 7-6 and Red River 18-2.
Elsewhere, North Webster defeated Pleasant Hill 22-2 at North Webster and Doyline swept a doubleheader against Huntington 13-12 and 10-9 at Doyline.
Lakeside fell to Byrd 11-0 in its tournament. Minden’s scheduled game against Union Parish was postponed. Union Parish had a boys basketball playoff game and bus issues, according to a post on the Minden High Baseball Batter Up Club’s Facebook page.
At the Red River tournament, Glenbrook trailed St. Mary’s 5-4 after five innings then took the lead with three in the top of the sixth.
The Apaches (4-8) had 12 hits. Carson Powell went 3-for-5 with a triple and double. Kleaton Davis went 2-for-3.
Starting pitcher Brayden Watkins went 2-for-4 with a triple. Darron Hollingsworth went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Watkins struck out five in 3 1/3 innings. Hollingsworth struck out eight 3 2/3 innings of relief.
Glenbrook led Red River 6-2 through five innings then put 12 on the board in the sixth.
Hollingsworth went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Noah Martin went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBi.
Eli Still went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Tyler Cox went 2-for-2 with two RBI. Davis, Ryder Malone and Ryan Reagan had two RBI each.
Martin struck out 10 and scattered six hits in five innings.
At the Lakeside tournament, Lakeside had four hits in the five-inning game against Byrd. The Warriors (3-9) host Parkway Saturday at 4 on the tournament’s final day.
At North Webster, Tyler Brown went 3-for-4 with a triple and six RBI in the three-inning game. Cayden Bernard went 3-for-4.
Chandler McKenzie and Preston Ingle had two hits each. Landon Lewis had a double. Justin Stewart and Braylon Bernard combined on a no-hitter.
North Webster improved to 3-4.
At Doyline, Zack Moseley went 3-for-4 with a double in the second game. Emery Ransbottom went 2-for-2 with a double three RBI. Sam Dodge had two RBI,
Doyline (3-4) visits Pleasant Hill Saturday at 1.
