High school baseball: Glenbrook’s Sanders pitches no-hitter against Oak Grove; Lakes splits district doubleheader

The Glenbrook Apaches and Lakeside Warriors picked up victories Friday.

Glenbrook defeated Oak Grove 11-0 in five innings at Glenbrook. Lakeside split a District 1-2A doubleheader against D’Arbonne Woods, winning the first game 9-5 and losing the second 6-3.

Elsewhere, Doyline dropped both halves of a doubleheader at Class 5A Haughton 9-3 and 15-2 in four innings.

At Glenbrook, Easton Sanders pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks. He faced two batters over the minimum. The Apaches had two errors.

Sanders also went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. Hudson Glasscock had a double and three RBI.

Preston Frye had a double. Sam Ricord had two RBI.

Glenbrook (13-10) closes the regular season Monday at home against Loyola at 6.

At Lakeside, Jordan Isbell went 3-for-4 with three RBI in the first game. Peyton Gray went 2-for-3.

Matthew Aguilera and Hunter Sutton had two RBI each.

Gray pitched 4 2/3 innings of relief for the win. He allowed two hits and walked none.

Gray went 2-for-3 in the second game. Isbell and Sutton both went 2-for-4. Brock Case had an RBI-double. Gage Williams drew three walks.

Lakeside (15-13) closes the regular season Monday at home against Evangel at 6.

The Warriors finished district play 6-6. D’Arbonne Woods (18-9) also finished 6-6. Calvary Baptist (22-10, 10-2) won the district.

At Haughton, Cayden Mingo went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI in the first game. Noah Spears struck out eight in five innings. He allowed four hits and walked six.

Austin Arbaugh had an RBI-single in the second game.

Doyline (12-13) closes the regular season Saturday against Bossier at home at 4.
