The Minden Crimson Tide and North Webster Knights were winners Tuesday.
Minden defeated Huntington 14-0 in five innings in a District 1-4A game at Griffith Stadium, and North Webster downed Castor 8-3 at Castor.
Elsewhere, Lakeside dropped a 3-2 decision to Franklin Parish in 10 innings on the road, Doyline fell to Quitman 3-1 in 10 innings in a District 1-B game at Doyline and Glenbrook lost to District 1-5A co-leader Parkway 8-2 at Parkway.
At Minden, the Tide completed a 5-0 run for the week in 1-4A. Minden outscored its opponents 66-0. The Tide (20-7, 5-1) is tied for second in the district with Evangel Christian (11-14, 5-1), one game behind Northwood (20-6, 6-0).
Eight Minden players combined for 12 hits. Bray Winston went 3-for-3. Hudson Brown went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.
Jakobe Jackson had a double and walked twice. Brody Bower had two RBI.
Jaxon Smith pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks. Minden made one error.
Minden is scheduled to complete district play against North DeSoto Tuesday at home at 6. A district tournament is scheduled for April 11 and April 12.
At Franklin Parish, Lakeside led 2-0 going into the bottom of the sixth. Franklin Parish scored two to tie it. The Patriots won on an RBI-double with one out in the 10th.
Hunter Sutton went 2-for-4. Jordan Isbell also had two hits. Jon Jon Dick had a hit and drew two walks.
Starter Sutton allowed five hits and no earned runs in five innings. Eli Campbell allowed four hits, struck out three and walked three in 4 1/3 innings of relief.
Lakeside (13-12) is scheduled to visit Quitman Tuesday at 6.
At Doyline, the Panthers scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings tied at one.
In the ninth, Doyline had runners on first and second with one out but two strikeouts ended the threat.
Quitman scored two in the top of the 10th on a solo home run, double and sacrifice bunt.
The Panthers again put runners at first and second in the bottom of the inning but couldn’t get them home.
Starter Noah Spears pitched eight innings. He allowed just three hits, struck out 11 and walked three.
Doyline had three hits. Austin Arbaugh, Dario Galvez and Cayden Mingo had singles.
Quitman improved to 14-8 overall and completed district play 4-2. Doyline dropped to 11-11 and completed district play 2-4. Weston (19-9, 6-0) won the district.
Doyline is scheduled to visit Bossier Saturday at 11 a.m.
At Parkway, Glenbrook’s Jackson Waller went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.
The Apaches (12-10) are scheduled to visit defending select Division IV state champion Ouachita Christian Monday at 4.
At Castor, North Webster improved to 11-13. The Knights are scheduled to host Homer Monday at 5.
