The Minden Crimson Tide and Doyline Panthers picked up victories Tuesday.
Minden defeated North Webster 20-1 in Springhill and Doyline edged Castor 10-9 in a District 1-B opener at Doyline.
In a District 3-2A opener, Lakeside fell to Red River 8-5 in Coushatta.
At North Webster, Minden’s Hudson Brown went 2-for4 with a home run and four RBI in the four-inning game. Jaxon Smith went 2-for-2 with a double.
Bray Winston went 2-for-3. Topher Wilson drew three walks and had three RBI. Landon Brewer and Jamall Carey had two RBI each.
Winston pitched all four innings for the win.
Preston Ingle, Landon Lewis and Justin Stewart had two hits apiece for North Webster.
Minden (10-5) is scheduled to play in the Stanley tournament later this week. North Webster (2-9) hosts Dodson Thursday.
At Doyline, the Panthers scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to win it. James Dodge, Emery Ransbottom and Landon Burrough had singles in the inning.
James Dodge went 2-for-4 with a double. Sam Dodge went 2-for-4. Tyler Cox and Zack Moseley had one double each. Burrough had two RBI.
Cox pitched five innings of relief for the win. He struck out seven.
Doyline (5-6) hosts Calvin Friday. Castor dropped to 4-2.
At Red River, Lakeside scored two in the top of the sixth to take a 5-4 lead. But the Bulldogs put four on the board in the bottom of the inning.
The Warriors had seven hits. Gage Williams had two doubles. Eric Jones went 2-for-3.
Lakeside (5-13) and Red River (6-7) are scheduled to complete the two-game district series Thursday at Lakeside at 6.
