The Minden Crimson Tide and North Webster Knights both won two games Saturday.
Minden defeated Sumner 9-8 and Zwolle 12-0 in six innings in the Many tournament.
North Webster swept North Caddo 23-12 and 15-9 in Vivian, completing a three-game series sweep.
Elsewhere, Glenbrook fell to Benton 12-7 in the final game of a three-game series at Benton.
Minden scored six runs in the first inning against Sumner. The Tide led 8-3 through 3.5 innings
Sumner rallied with four in the bottom half of the fifth. The Cowboys added one in the fifth to get within one.
Landon Brewer gave up a leadoff single in the bottom of the sixth then shut down the Cowboys the rest of the way.
Bryson Ranger went 2-for-3 with a double. Brewer had two doubles.
Starting pitcher Jaxon Smith hit a two-run homer in the first. Smith allowed five hits, struck out four and walked one in four innings.
Brewer picked up the save.
Ranger went 2-for-3 with two triples and a double against Zwolle. Parker Salas went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI.
Landyn Huddleston went 2-for-3. Bray Winston went 2-for-3 with a double.
Brody Bower had four RBI, and Zander Rowell had two.
Rowell went the distance. He allowed four hits, struck out nine and walked none.
Minden (4-0) hosts North Caddo Tuesday.
At North Caddo, Daquan Coleman went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in the the Knights’ 23-12 victory.
Colby Dinkins went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Sawyer Wages went 3-for-5 with five RBI.
Nathan Bernard went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Tyler Brown had two doubles. Landon Allen had one double.
Allen had two hits and four RBI in the second game. Coleman and Cayden Bernard had two doubles each.
Chandler McKenzie had a double. Preston Ingle had three RBI.
North Webster (5-0) hosts Southwood Monday.
At Benton, the Apaches trailed 8-7 after scoring two runs in the top of the sixth. But the Tigers answered with four in the bottom of the inning.
Glenbrook had eight hits. Jackson Waller went 2-for-3 with a double.
Dawson Day also went 2-for-3. Easton Sanders had a double and drew two walks.
Glenbrook (0-4) hosts Many Tuesday.
