Minden’s Brody Bower has been selected to play for the West team in the Louisiana High School Coaches Association/Louisiana High School Baseball Coaches Association East-West All-Star Games.

The games are for 2024 seniors only. They are scheduled to be played Friday and Saturday at Billy Allgood Field on the campus of Louisiana Christian in Pineville.

Friday’s game will begin at the conclusion of the 5 p.m. Home Run Derby. Saturday’s game is set for 1 p.m.

Bower is one of six pitchers on the West squad. Airline’s Carter White is the only other pitcher from North Louisiana.

A BPCC signee, Bower had a 2.148 ERA with 75 strikeouts in 58 2/3 innings. He was the starter in 11 games and appeared in another.

Bower, an infielder when not pitching, led the Tide with a .467 batting average. His 14 doubles and 32 RBI were also team highs.

A first-team All-District 1-4A selection, he helped Minden go 26-12 and reach the quarterfinals of the non-select Division II playoffs.
