Minden senior Landon Brewer has been named the Pitcher of the Year on the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association All-Region I team.
Players are nominated by coaches. Region I consists of teams in Northwest Louisiana parishes regardless of class.
Brewer, a Louisiana Tech signee, was 4-1 with one save. He had an ERA of 0.412 with 87 strikeouts in 51 innings.
Other Webster Parish players making the team were Glenbrook freshman pitcher Brayden Watkins and sophomore Darron Hollingsworth, a shortstop who was selected at utility, and Lakeside senior catcher Brock Case.
Watkins was 5-1 with a 3.30 ERA. Hollingsworth batted .337 with 26 RBI.
