Minden swept Evangel Christian in boys and girls District 1-4A openers Tuesday night at Evangel.
The Crimson Tide won 61-56 and the Lady Tiders won 49-24.
Doyline opened defense of its District 1-B championship with a 62-52 victory over Weston at Doyline.
In Division 1-3A games, the North Webster Knights fell to Sterlington 45-28 in the girls game and 69-51in the boys game.
In District 1-1A games, the Glenbrook girls defeated Magnolia School of Excellence 44-26 in Shreveport and the boys lost 66-29.
At Evangel, Darnell Morris led the Minden boys with 19 points.
Cameron Parker added 16 and Jekoye Knowles 14.
The Tide pulled off a big comeback. They trailed 33-25 at the half and 49-38 after three quarters.
Minden outscored Evangel 23-6 in the fourth.
The Crimson Tide (11-5) and Lady Tiders (10-8) have games at Huntington Friday.
At Doyline, Damarion McClendon led the Panthers with 28 points.
Cayden Mingo added 13, Kedric Clark 10 and Broox Swain nine.
Doyline (18-2) visits Castor Friday.
The North Webster boys dropped to 4-8. The North Webster girls fell to 11-3.
