The Minden Crimson Tide will aim for a spot in the non-select Division II quarterfinals for the second straight year Tuesday.

To get there, the No. 3 seed Tide (16-8) will have to upset No. 3 Brusly ((22-5) on the Panthers’ home court. Tip-off is 6:30 p.m.

Minden defeated No. 19 LaGrange 73-67 at home in the first round last Friday at home. Brusly (22-5) received a first-round bye.

The Panthers haven’t played since a 78-73 victory over Istrouma on Feb. 20. Brusly won eight of its last nine regular-season games. Their only loss in that stretch McKinley 46-41 on Feb. 13.

Brusly went 7-1 in District 6-4A. The Panthers started the season 2-2 and have gone 20-3 since then.

Like Minden, Brusly lost in the semifinals last year, falling to eventual champion Wossman 56-52.
