High school boys basketball: Minden improves to 6-0 with rout of Byrd; Doyline winning streak reaches 10

The Minden Crimson Tide and Doyline Panthers continued to roll Friday night.

Minden routed Byrd 63-29 at Minden, and Doyline downed Plain Dealing 59-26 at Plain Dealing.

Minden improved to 6-0. Doyline improved to 13-1 with its 10th straight victory.

At Minden, the Crimson Tide led 23-5 after the first quarter and 40-7 at the half.

Darnell Morris led Minden with 24 points. Cameron Parker, Jaiden Franklin and Kameron Harris all scored nine.

Alex Schoonover led Byrd (3-6) with 13 points.

Minden hosts another District 1-5A team, Airline, Tuesday.
