by Russell Hedges

The North Webster Purple Knights routed Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy 52-12 Friday night at Baucum-Farrar Stadium.

North Webster finished the regular season 6-4 after going 2-8 a year ago.

According to GeauxPreps.com, the Knights are No. 14 in the non-select Division IIII power ratings.

Nothing is official until the LHSAA releases the brackets Sunday morning. But if the current ratings hold, the Knights would host No. 19 Patterson (3-6) in the first round of the playoffs.

Jkobe Lawson had a big game for the Knights. He scored four touchdowns, three rushing and one receiving. He also had an interception.

Xavier “Tutt” McGlothan scored one rushing touchdown and one receiving.

Braedon Robertson and Kolby Dinkins both scored rushing touchdowns. Kemarion Jefferson had a receiving touchdown.

Lafayette Renaissance, which is in only its second year as an LHSAA member, finished 1-6.

Green Oaks 48, Lakeside 30: At Shreveport, the Warriors closed a tough season 3-7.

Brock Case and Jordan Case scored two rushing touchdowns each.

Lakeside’s 30 points were the Warriors’ most since a 41-34 victory over Block in Week 4. The Warriors were hurt by injuries in the second half of the season.

Green Oaks improved to 3-7.
