High school girls basketball: Cindee Wright Clark named head coach at Minden

Cindee Wright Clark has been named head girls basketball coach at Minden.

Clark replaces Jacob Brown, who has taken over the Minden boys program after 14 seasons as girls head coach.

Clark was the head coach at Southwood last season. The Lady Cowboys finished 13-17 overall and 1-13 in District 1-5A.

Clark is a 2005 graduate of Southwood. She helped the Lady Cowboys win three Class 5A state championships and was named All-State in both basketball and track and field.

Clark was also the head girls basketball coach and an assistant track coach at Calvary Baptist from 2013-16. She also served as an assistant and head girls basketball coach at Loyola Collage Prep.

In 2021-22 Clark  was an assistant women’s basketball at Centenary College. She was also both an assistant basketball and track and field coach at Allen Community College in 2018-19.

Clark has also served as an assistant coach at Houston Baptist (now Houston Christian) and Southern-Shreveport.

Clark played college basketball at New Mexico Community College, Charleston Southern and Houston Baptist. She was also a standout track and field athlete at Houston Baptist.

Clark has a Masters of Education degree from Ashford University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Houston Baptist in 2012.
