The Minden Lady Tiders opened District 1-4A play last week with a 53-27 victory over Woodlawn Thursday night at Woodlawn.
Balanced scoring helped Minden prevail. Brooklyn Jefferson scored 11 points. Zanterrica Moore and Parys Gillins had 10 each. Ky’Asia Rogers chipped in nine.
Minden never trailed. The Lady Tiders led 10-8 after the first quarter then started the second with an 8-0 run.
Minden led 26-14 at the half and 38-18 after three quarters.
The Lady Tiders improved to 14-9. Woodlawn dropped to 1-16.
The game was originally scheduled for Friday night but it was moved up a day due to the likelihood of winter weather.
