High school golf: Glenbrook finishes third in Division IV state tournament

Glenbrook finished third in the Division IV boys state tournament Tuesday in Carencro.

The Apaches shot a 337 on the par-72 Farm D’Allie course for a two-day total of 676. Glenbrook finished just two strokes behind runner-up Sacred Heart.

Cedar Creek won with a 56-over 632 after shooting a 313 in the final round.

Louie Collins led Glenbrook with a 10th-place finish. He shot an 8-over 80 Tuesday, a four-stroke improvement over his first round. That enabled him to move up nine spots.

Cason Gibson shot an 84 and finished tied for 21st at 169. 

Jaxon Branch shot an 87 and finished tied for 24th at 171. Dalton Harber finished one stroke behind him in a tie for 26th. He shot an 86. 

Tate Fegley shot a 90, a four-stroke improvement over his first round, and finished tied for 37th at 184.
