High school softball: Glenbrook, Lakeside, Doyline, North Webster win on final day of regular season

Glenbrook, Lakeside, Doyline and North Webster all won Tuesday on the final day of the regular season.

Glenbrook defeated Northwood 15-5 at Northwood and Lakeside defeated Castor 18-2 at Castor.

Doyline swept a doubleheader against Dodson 11-6 and 16-1 at Doyline. North Webster defeated Bastrop 17-6 and lost to Sterlington 17-2.

Elsewhere, Minden fell to Haughton 17-0 at Minden.

At Northwood, Ellie Earnhardt went 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI in the six-inning game. Gracie Heard went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI.

Hallie Sutton hit two home runs and had five RBI. Addison Chanler hit a three-run home run in the third inning. Savannah Mangrum struck out eight.

Glenbrook (22-6) entered the game No. 2 in the select Division IV power rankings and will have a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Official first-round pairings will be announced Wednesday.

At Castor, Emily Jones went 4-for-4 with a double in the four-inning game. Raleah Harris went 3-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBI. Teal Austin went 2-for-3.

Moose Jernigan went 2-for-4 with five RBI. Meredith Robinson had a double and three RBI. Ella Wood allowed two hits, struck out four and walked two.

Lakeside (21-9) was No. 4 in the non-select Division IV power rankings and will have a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

At Doyline, Sariyah Gill had a triple, double and two RBI in the five-inning first game. Elizabeth Wright went 2-for-3.

Karmadie Bartlett had a triple. Raelyn Pease had a double. Lanie Gates had two RBI.

Wright went 3-for-3 in the three-inning second game. Pease went 2-for-2. Kanyion Bartlett had a triple and double.

Hannah Dryden went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Gill had two RBI. Gill didn’t allow a hit and struck out three.

Doyline (16-6) was No. 13 in the Class B rankings. The top 12 teams in the final rankings receive first-round byes.

North Webster’s Ji’siyah Bell had a triple, two doubles and three RBI against Bastrop. Emma Newsom went 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Ella Campbell went 3-for-5 with two RBI. Layla Demoss had two hits.

Newsom pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

Campbell had two RBI against Sterlington. North Webster closed its season 6-17.

At Minden, five Lady Tiders combined for five hits in the five-inning game.

Minden (11-14) was No. 16 in the non-select Division II power rankings. The No. 7-16 teams in the final official rankings host first-round playoff games.
