High school softball: Lakeside downs Haynesville in Lakeside tournament

The Lakeside Lady Warriors defeated Haynesville 13-1 in five innings in the Lakeside tournament Friday.

Hallie Sutton pitched a one-hitter. She struck out 11 and walked four.

Sutton also went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Rhea Waller went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Karrigan Davis went 2-for-3 with a double. 

Rainie Hughes went 2-for-3. Emily Jones hit a two-run home run. Mackenzie McCoy had a double.

The tournament is scheduled to conclude Saturday.

Lakeside (5-10) faces Byrd at 10 a.m. followed by Byrd vs. Summerfield at noon, North Webster vs. Zwolle at 2 p.m. and Summerfield vs. Zwolle at 4.
