High school softball: Lakeside routs Byrd; Glenbrook splits games in St. Frederick tournament

The Lakeside Lady Warriors defeated Byrd 11-0 in six innings Saturday in the Lakeside tournament.

Izzy Vise went 3-for-4 with a triple, double and three RBI. Hallie Sutton went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI.

Mackenzie McCoy went 2-for-3. Laiklyn Squyres went 2-for-2. Lexi Wood had a double and two RBI.

McKenna Chreene allowed five hits, struck out three and walked one in six innings. 

Lakeside (6-10) is scheduled to host Cedar Creek Monday at 5.

Glenbrook split games in the St. Frederick tournament.

The Lady Apaches had their five-game winning streak snapped by St. Frederick 9-1 then rebounded with a 17-1 victory over Downsville in four innings.

Vivian Still went 4-for-4 with a home run, double and five RBI against Downsville. Her three-run homer in a 10-run fourth ended the game.

Gabi Brown went 3-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBI. ChloeGregg went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Anna Grace Vining went 2-for-3. Ellie Earnhardt had two hits.

Rebecca Mosley allowed one hit with seven strikeouts and one walk in three innings. Savannah Mangrum pitched a perfect fourth. 

Glenbrook (9-6) is scheduled to visit Mangham Monday at 5:30.
