High school softball: Minden splits games in Choudrant tournament

The Minden Lady Tiders split games in the Choudrant tournament Saturday.

Minden lost to St. Frederick 10-0 in six innings then bounced back with a 6-3 victory over Choudrant.

Leigha Kennon-Gilbert went 3-for-4 with a double against Choudrant. Kylie Ryan went 2-for-4 with a double. Lindsay Ryan went 2-for-4.

Gracie Sparks went the distance for the win. 

Lindsay Ryan went 2-for-3 with a double against St.,Frederick. 

Minden (16-11) is scheduled to host Loyola Monday at 4 the close the regular season Tuesday at Stanley at 5.

Official playoff pairings will be announced by the LHSAA Wednesday. The Lady Tiders will likely host a non-select Division II first-round game.
