High school softball: Minden’s Rise of the Tide Jamboree set for Thursday and Friday

The Rise of the Tide Jamboree starts Thursday with one game at the new Minden High softball complex at 1151 Council Street.

Lakeside faces North Webster at 6 p.m.

There are three games Friday. Minden takes on Summerfield at 5:20, Summerfield faces Doyline at 6:40 and Minden plays Doyline at 8.

Admission is $8. Concessions and gumbo will be available.

The event was moved up one day because of the threat of rain Saturday.

The regular season starts Tuesday.

Minden hosts Parkway at 6 in the first game at its new stadium.

North Webster visits Evangel Christian at 6. Lakeside visits Captain Shreve at 6:30.

Glenbrook hosts St. Mary’s at 5:30. Doyline hosts Red River at 4:30.
