Glenbrook finished eighth in the girls division in the LHSAA Division IV Swimming Championships Thursday in Sulphur
Glenbrook scored 93 points. Episcopal School of Acadiana won with 285.
Glenbrook and Lakeside tied for 16th in the boys division. Lakeside was 17th in the girls division.
Glenbrook sophomore Mollie Thurman finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle and sixth in the 100 backstroke.
Her time in the 100 free was 1 minute, 5.63 seconds. Pope John Paul II’s Braylee Ladner won in 54.27. Thurman was just 4.35 seconds behind the third-place finisher.
Thurman swam a 1:18.08 in the 100 back. Holy Savior Menard’s Lilia Pugh won in 1:02.32.
Thurman teamed with sophomore Grace Dennin and seventh-graders Emma Kratzer and Lexi Barnett for a seventh-place finish in the 200 medley relay.
Barnett, Kratzer, Dennin and seventh-grader Ella Stahl teamed for a seventh-place finish in the 400 free relay. The same group was ninth in the 200 free relay.
Glenbrook eighth-grader Maddox Snider was eighth in the boys 200 individual medley.
Lakeside sophomore Sawyer Pittman finished 10th in the boys 100 backstroke and 13th in the 100 freestyle.
The Lakeside foursome of sophomore Alexis Ashby, freshman Jewelliette Plant, junior Ramona Psotova and sophomore Allie Swayze finished eighth in the 200 freestyle relay.
