Glenbrook’s Mattison Fowler qualified for the state meet with a third-place finish in the girls 800 meters in the Region I-1A meet Monday at Ouachita Christian.
The top three individuals and relay teams qualified for the Ochsner LHSAA Outdoor Track and Field State Meet at LSU. The Class 1-1A meet is Thursday, May 2.
Fowler ran a 2:47.43. St. Frederick’s Bradie Eppinette won in 2:28.30. Cedar Creek’s Madison Morris was second in 2:32.52.
Fowler finished fourth in the 1,600 in 6:22.33. Cedar Creek’s Caroline James earned the third-place qualifying spot in 5:44.83.
Hadley Haynes was fifth in the 100 hurdles in 18.29. Ouachita Christian’s MollyKaye Bush was third in 17.63.
Vivian Still finished sixth in the 400 in 1:05.63. St. Frederick’s Mary Margret Hayden was third in 1:02.07.
Glenbrook eighth-grader Carson Powell finished fifth in the boys 1,600 in 5:10.90. Ouachita Christian’s Levi James was third in 5:01.44. Cedar Creek’s Myles Head Carpenter won in 4:49.96.
