Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Holmes of Athens are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Denise Holmes (Katie), to Hodson Ross Brown of Minden. The bride – elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Brown of Athens and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Jowers of Arcadia.
The groom – elect, Hodson, is the son of Ken and Nelwyn Warren of Minden. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Still of Taylor.
Hodson and Katie are both 2007 graduates of Glenbrook High School. Katie graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently a Pre – k teacher at Pecan Grove Primary in Gonzales.
Hodson graduated Louisiana Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Kinesiology and will graduate in May from Louisiana State University Health Science Center with a doctorate of Physical Therapy. Hodson has accepted a job as a Physical Therapist at Performance Physical Therapy in Minden.
The couple will be married Saturday, June 11, at First Baptist Church in Arcadia. After the wedding the two will make their home in Bossier City.
