Cummings
Jackie was born in Sarepta on May 10, 1958 and was a long-time resident of Minden. She was a graduate of Minden High School class of 1977 and worked as a CNA for many years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Louis Hughes Sr., and her mother, Mary Abels Hughes, and one sister, Rebecca Jean Hughes, and husband Paul Cummings.
She is survived by one daughter Misty Smith and one granddaughter Rayan Smith of Minden, sister Jean Floyd and husband Randy of Minden, sister Marrianne Lapsley of Bossier, one brother Lewis Hughes Jr. of Bossier, one nephew Corey Davis of Tyler, Texas and one nephew Brian Lapsley and wife Jessica of Bossier. She had one great-nephew and one great-nice.
A memorial will be March 12, 2016 at Whispering Pines Church on Highway 371 in Minden at 2 p.m.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Jacki Garland, her long time friend, and Amy Coderre for all their help along with St. Joseph Hospice and staff.
Jackie was a good friend, loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who will truly be missed by her loved ones. May this guardian angel fly high for she has earned her wings.
