James H. Duke

James H. Duke, 74, of Minden, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, in Arcadia. James was born Oct. 31, 1940, to Bruce and Mary Rowe Duke in Shongaloo.

He is survived by his sisters, Linda Miller and husband, Jimmie of Minden, Vicki Risco and husband, Ron of Newburgh, Ind. and Gay Lebowitz of Homer; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Duke was preceded in death by his parents.

James was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church, Minden and worked in the production department for Tenneco Oil Company for more than 20 years.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Shongaloo, with the Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Copeland, Paul Copeland, Michael Miller, Connor Copeland, Caden Copeland and Steve Rowe.
