EPSON MFP imageJames Henry Standokes was born August 7, 1944, to the late Johnny Standokes Sr. and Levina Elliott.

He united in holy matrimony to Annie Crow Standokes and to this union seven children were born.

On Jan. 6, 2015, James Standokes departed this early life. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and siblings, Leroy Standokes, Wilbert Standokes, Willie Faye Standokes, Gracie Lewis and Evelean Baker.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory one son, Bobby Crow of Dallas, Texas; six daughters, Jo Anne McGraw (Billy) of Dallas, Texas, Lisa Crosslin (Terry) of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, Sherry Washington of Minden, Loretta Profit (Alfred) of Minden, Carolyn Tobin (Patrick) of Grambling and Ella Nimmers (James) of Ruston; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Willie T. Standokes, L. T. Standokes, Johnny Standokes and Jessie Standokes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at the 14th District Building with Bro. Terry Crosslin officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Comfort Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will held from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary.
