Born Mary Jenell Ribble to Roy Ray Ribble and Minnie Maurine Robertson on March 7, 1931 in Hillsboro, Texas. she spent most of her childhood in Rice and Houston, Texas.

Jenell graduated from Houston’s Reagan High School in 1949. She then attended business school and worked hard at many jobs including at the LAAP, Family Planning, Power Lift, and Toll Brothers, but she was most proud of her family.

She married John E. Trevathan on Aug. 18, 1950 and lived in many places. Houston, Orlando, Florida, Baton Rouge, and then for a most of her childrens’ childhood in Minden. After Minden, she lived in Seguin, Texas, Tyler, Texas, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dallas, McKinney, Texas, and Richmond, Texas. She very much enjoyed travel and loved visiting London and a trip she and her daughter and grandaughter made to Paris.

Jenell was a very positive person, that never said a bad word about anyone. She was sure “you would feel better if you had a good cry, cleaned out your drawers or had a hot bath.” She loved Shinerboch beer and Havarti cheese, ginger, marmalade and apricots. She collected elephants and miniature boxes that she always shared with her grandchildren. She was the glue that held her family together.

She will be missed by all that ever knew or loved her.
