Funeral services for Jimmie L. Bailey will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Shongaloo, Louisiana under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service time. Officiating will be Bro. Ed Bryan. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Shongaloo with military honors.
Jimmie was born June 30, 1940, in Shongaloo, Louisiana and entered into rest November 3, 2023, in Shongaloo, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Navy.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Franklin and Bessie Bailey, sisters, Ida Branton and Janice Myers, and brothers, Leo Bailey, Fred Bailey, and Billy Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Carol M. Bailey; son, Jimmie Lynn Bailey, Jr.; daughter, Virginia M. Bailey; sister, Juanita Klovenski; brother, Howard Bailey; grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Orlando, Shelby Bailey, and Rebecca Bailey and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Lee, Gary Sexton, Jim Hatfield, Larry Moore, Bruce Lee, and Bob Bisso.
