Funeral services for Jody Jones Edwards will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Lakeview United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Kathy Wafer officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Jody was born Aug. 15, 1962 in Minden and entered into rest June 29, 2016 in Minden. She was co-owner and a pharmacy tech at Loye’s Pharmacy in Minden.
Jody was preceded in death by her father A. Loye Jones.
She is survived by her mother Peggy Jones of Minden, daughters Emily Edwards Kennington and husband Landon, two grandchildren Amzie Jo and Aria Vail Kennington all of Bossier City, sister Mitzi Jones Madden and her son Ryan Hammontree of Haughton, brother Gregory L. Jones and wife Charlotte and their children Nathan Jones and wife Mandi of Minden Piper Malone and husband Josh of Minden, and great nephews and niece Ryder, Peyton and Skyler Malone.
Pallbearers will be Josh Malone, Nathan Jones, Tim Collins, Mike Collins, Scotty Wise, Mike Wise, Larry Bright, Ken Lowery and Matt Wise.
Honorary pallbearers will Roger Talton, Jimmy Lowery, Gayle Wise, Bobby Wise, Garrett Day and Rick Day.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, W-K Cancer Treatment Center or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
