Funeral services for Joyce Lee Gamble will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Lewis Attaway officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Joyce was born Jan. 14, 1931, in Heflin and entered into rest Oct. 1, 2014, in Minden. She was an active member of Germantown Baptist Church, owner/operator of J&G Grocery for 40 years and a homemaker.
Her husband, George Allen Gamble Jr.; parents, G.B. and Maybelle Lee; sister, Jeanette Thurman; brother, Howard Lee; and great-grandchildren ,James, Helen and Sarahbeth Austin preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Clay and wife, Kathy Gamble and George A. (Chuck) and wife, Mary Ellen Gamble; grandchildren, Kelly and wife, Kari Gamble, Toni and husband, Charles Austin, Lauren and husband, Grey Murphy and Ben Gamble; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Thomas Gamble, C.J. and Trey Austin and Ada Joyce Murphy; brother, Gerry and wife, Pattie Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Gamble, Charles Austin, Ben Gamble, Grey Murphy, Kenny Balkom and Kasey Dooly.
